Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Egio (“we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website, editor, invitation pages, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, purchasing credits, publishing an invitation, or otherwise using Egio, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 years old where a higher minimum age is required by local law, to use Egio. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

If you use Egio on behalf of a business, couple, or event organizer, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these Terms.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Egio provides tools to create, customize, host, and share digital invitations and related event content. Features may include templates, an editor, RSVP collection, galleries, maps, countdown widgets, credits/tokens, and optional AI-assisted creative tools.

• We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
• Some features require credits, subscriptions, or paid plans when enabled.
• Beta or experimental features may be offered “as is” and may change without notice.
• We do not guarantee that any specific template, font, integration, or feature will remain available forever.

You retain ownership of content you upload or create on Egio (“User Content”), including photos, text, names, schedules, logos, and design layouts.

By using the Service, you grant Egio a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, and process your User Content solely to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service — including publishing your invitation at a link you choose (e.g. /i/your-slug).

Your responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and publish all User Content, including photographs, music references, logos, artwork, fonts, trademarks, and third-party materials.
• You must not upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person or entity.
• You are responsible for reviewing all content — including AI-generated output — before publishing or sharing it publicly.

You agree not to use Egio to create, upload, publish, or distribute content or activity that:

• Is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or promotes scams or phishing
• Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent, or threatening
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience
• Promotes gambling, illegal betting, or unauthorized financial schemes
• Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Contains malware, spyware, or attempts to compromise our systems or users
• Impersonates another person, brand, or organization
• Spams, scrapes, or abuses platform resources in an automated or excessive manner

We may remove, suspend, or restrict invitations and accounts that violate these rules without prior notice where necessary to protect users, guests, and the platform. We may also preserve and disclose relevant information — including IP addresses and logs — to investigate abuse or comply with law, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Egio may offer AI-assisted features such as image generation, background removal, layout suggestions, or future AI Photo Booth tools. These features may rely on third-party AI services.

• AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You must review all AI-generated results before publishing.
• Egio does not guarantee that AI output will be unique, error-free, or free from third-party rights issues.
• Uploaded photos may be temporarily processed solely to deliver the requested feature. Egio does not use your uploads to train public AI models.
• You must not use AI features to generate illegal, harmful, infringing, or deceptive content.

When you publish an invitation, anyone with the link may view the content you include. You are responsible for what you choose to make public.

If you collect RSVP or guest information, you act as the primary party responsible for informing guests, obtaining any required consent, and using guest data lawfully. Egio processes RSVP data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy — Data Controller & Processor Roles.

You must not collect sensitive personal data from guests unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate notice. Do not use guest data for unrelated marketing without consent.

Paid features — such as credits, tokens, subscriptions, or premium templates — may be billed through a third-party payment processor such as Stripe.

• Payment card details are processed directly by the payment provider. Egio does not store your complete card number on our servers.
• Prices, credit packages, and feature availability may change with notice where required.
• Unless required by applicable law or stated otherwise at purchase, credits and digital purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered or used.
• We may issue refunds or credits at our discretion for verified technical failures, duplicate charges, or unauthorized transactions reported promptly.
• Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in account suspension pending investigation.

You may stop using Egio at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Deletion is subject to our data retention and backup practices described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, remove content, or disable invitation links if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, or if required by law — with or without prior notice where appropriate.

Sections that by nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation at all times.
• We do not guarantee specific RSVP counts, delivery of messages to guests, or guest behavior.
• Third-party services (Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe, Google, AI vendors, etc.) may affect availability or performance.
• Templates, fonts, and design tools are provided for creative use and may not fit every legal or cultural requirement without your review.

Outages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including provider failures, maintenance, natural events, or network disruptions — are addressed in Service Availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Egio and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of the Service, even if Egio has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Egio's total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid to Egio during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations and exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Egio and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your published invitations or RSVP collection; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (e) dispute between you and your guests or event participants.

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Egio, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved, it may be submitted to the competent courts in Indonesia, unless applicable law grants you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes may be announced on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
